Clan Video

Ok, as some of you have heard, I will be making a clan video. For each member, I'll get a handful of "good moments", moments you wished other people can see over and over, stuff that makes you go "OOOOHHHHH!" on teamspeak.

Feel free to submit any demo to me, just make sure it's worthy . You can submit a 30 minute long demo with one good moment on there, I don't care. Just don't make me watch the whole thing, tell me where the moment(s) happened (aka 2:21, 4:22, etc) and I'll do it. The expected time to finish the clan video would probably next year, we need really good shots.

I suggest everyone to set cl_autoRecordDemo to 1, it will record every game you play, even on spectators. I suggest cleaning your demo folder every now and then to prevent file size. They'll probably 2-3 parts total to the video, I think the max on youtube is 10 minutes long a video.

We can also "plan" out things, like Serdhinos (no idea if it was planned or not, but I'm sure it was). I'm sure a grenade shot would be too tacky, let's do something original. I'll of course get those bloopers where you fail miserably. (probably a seperate video just full of bloopers since our clan is too big to get every members demo)


Current Software: Windows Movie Maker, Tremulous Video Recorder (to record the demo with /video).

Feel free to help out with (recommended)software, editting, and of course demos. I think that covers everything so far, so what do you guys think?

With the current software I have, I probably won't be able to make high quality videos (see Gum's youtube video somewhere on this forum).

I'll need to get better software, something to easily record demos, as well as edit them. What do you guys think I should get? If it's a paid software, I might be able to torrent it, but it's not guaranteed.

I have the perfect intro for Sonic. In the beginning of our video, we'll have "moments" and it will freeze at a special spot, and display the players name. In Sonic's second demo he sent me, when he gets tk'd by a luci, I freezed the demo when his face blew into the camera, and displays his name. Windows Movie Maker won't let me display his name, so I'll need software, now.

Here's the demo, it's fairly short (around 1:30), and you know what part I'm talking about. It's perfect.

When you record a demo, it doesn't show when you zoom in with an MD right? Because a demo of me shooting a dretch all the way across Rotcannon.

No, it doesn't show you zoom in, but you can do it manually

No, don't. It looks a lot better if you kept it zoomed out to make the shot look like a lot harder than it actually is. See this.

Ok, I got an idea for our intro.

Imagine a black screen. Out of no where, "Seeds of Rebellion" pops up out of nowhere, surrounded by fire.



Music works better with this. What do you guys think? After the Seeds of Rebellion, I'll introduce members with clips of ownage (freeze, display name, then continue).
