The last year I really remember using Floppy Disks was in 4th grade, so six years ago.  My classroom had two of those colorful emacs with the hockey puck mice and one was frozen for like a month and nobody unplugged it because they were afraid it would break further.  Of course, these machines were running OS9, so everything was slow to begin with, and the graphics were terrible.
